Nauman Smith Partners Honored

Two partners of Nauman Smith Shissler & Hall, LLP recently received notable awards within their respective fields of law.  Managing Partner Craig J. Staudenmaier has been selected, for a second consecutive year, by his peers for inclusion in the 20th Edition of The Best Lawyers in America in the practice area of Commercial Litigation.  Partner Benjamin C. Dunlap, Jr. has received an AV Preeminent® Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Rating in his primary practice areas of administrative and employment/labor law and litigation, making him part of a select group of lawyers ranked by their peers at the highest level of professional excellence.

Craig concentrates his practice in the areas of state and federal litigation and Right-to-Know/media law.  He routinely represents clients in all phases of the litigation process including mediation and arbitration, and specializes in the representation of Class 1, regional and shortline railroads.  Craig has appeared before the trial courts of approximately twenty-six counties in Pennsylvania and has successfully argued cases before the Commonwealth, Superior and Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania, as well as the Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.

Craig’s selection to Best Lawyers is based on an objective, thorough peer-review survey comprised of confidential evaluations by top attorneys.  As a result, it is considered a distinguished honor in the legal profession.  Since it was first published in 1983, Best Lawyers has become universally regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence.  Because Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey in which more than 36,000 leading attorneys cast almost 4.4 million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas, and because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor.  Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.”

Ben’s Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating is based on an extensive and confidential peer review by members of the Pennsylvania Bar and Judiciary. As a result, it is an invaluable service to the legal community that enables members to benefit from the candid and objective peer-to-peer feedback of other lawyers.  For further details on his ratings and comments from the raters, see http://www.martindale.com/Benjamin-Charles-Dunlap-Jr/1522043-lawyer.htm?view=cr.

Ben concentrates his practice in business and employment law for companies ranging in size from startups to major national corporations, in addition to public utility and related work for railroad clients.
