Professional and Community Service

The attorneys of Nauman Smith are encouraged to contribute their time and knowledge to both professional and community services. The firm provides Pro Bono Legal Services through the Dauphin County Bar Association, handling several cases per year. The following is a summary of some of the examples of how each attorney donates his or her time and legal services to the community.

Spencer G. Nauman, Jr

Spencer presently serves as an officer of the L.B. Smith Estate Foundation. He is a Director Emeritus and former President of the Harrisburg Academy and was a Director of the Harrisburg Hospital and the Harrisburg Chapter, American Red Cross. He provides pro bono legal services to the Pennsylvania National Horse Show Foundation and other local organizations.  He serves on the Economic Development Committee and Nonprofit Committee of the West Shore Chamber of Commerce.

J. Stephen Feinour

Steve is a Director of the Art Association of Harrisburg and former Director of the Allied Arts Fund (now the Cultural Enrichment Fund). He is also a Director of the Rotary Club of Harrisburg for which he also serves as co-chair of the Youth Exchange Committee. He has previously served as a Director of the Harrisburg Area YMCA, the Central Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association and the Camp Hill Soccer Club and served as a member of the Dickinson College Central Pennsylvania Regional Cabinet. He participates in the Dauphin County Bar Association Pro Bono Program and has represented clients through the Dauphin County Bar Association Pro Bono Initiative.

Craig J. Staudenmaier

Craig is a member of the Community Advisory Board of the Junior League of Harrisburg and a former member of the Institutional Review Committee of Pinnacle Health. He is a graduate of the Leadership Harrisburg Area (LHA) class of 2004 and a member of LHA’s Program Committee.  He participates in the pro bono program of the Dauphin County Bar Association. Craig is also a member of the Paxton Presbyterian Church and currently serves on its Stewardship & Finance and Congregational Life committees.

Benjamin C. Dunlap, Jr.

Ben is a member of the Executive Committee of the LGBT Community Center Coalition of Central PA Board of Directors.  He has represented clients on a pro bono basis through the Federal Bar Association and the Dauphin County Bar Association.  He is a member of the Business Diversity Advisory Council of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber of Commerce.  Ben is also counsel for PenOwl Productions, a multicultural theater company in Harrisburg.

Suzanne S. Friday

Suzanne chairs the grant-making committee of the Women’s Fund at The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, formerly The Greater Harrisburg Foundation, and is a former CFO of the Junior League of Harrisburg.  She has worked with the Dauphin County Bar Association’s continuing legal education program and is a pro bono guardian monitor with the Dauphin County Orphan’s Court.  Suzanne is a member of the Keystone Chapter of Rotary International, and often assists start-up nonprofit organizations on a pro bono basis.  Most recently she has served as the pro bono legal counsel for the Latino Hispanic American Community Center in Harrisburg.  Suzanne has also represented clients through the Dauphin County Bar Association’s pro bono nonprofit initiative  and has been named to the Dauphin County Bar Association’s pro bono honor roll multiple times.  She was recently named to the MS Leadership Class of 2012 for her outstanding contributions to her profession and the Harrisburg community.

Joshua D. Bonn

Josh is a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capitol Region.  He also provides pro bono legal services through the Dauphin County Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
